Herringbone-Tile Shower Build

A bathroom remodel photographed during the build. The walk-in shower is tiled with a striking blue herringbone feature wall set between white subway-tiled sides, over a gray pebble-mosaic floor, with a recessed niche and downlights in the ceiling. New hardwood-look flooring runs into the room, with the vanity carcass set and ready for its top.

We include a mid-build shot on purpose. Behind every finished bathroom is real tile-setting like this — the herringbone laid out square, the subway sides run level and the mosaic floor pitched to the drain. It's the unglamorous part of a remodel that decides how good the finished room looks.
