Questions & answers
The questions homeowners actually ask.
The questions Wake Forest homeowners actually ask us, in the order they tend to ask them — from "is this a job for you?" through to "what happens when the scope changes?"
Stage
Before you decide
What kind of work do you take on?
We're a remodeling company and a licensed NC general contractor. Our core work is kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels and finished basements — plus the home theaters, wet bars, custom built-ins and whole-home remodels that come with them. Because we're a licensed GC, we coordinate framing, plumbing, electrical, tile and finishes in-house. If it's a remodel across the Triangle, it's likely a job for us.
Are you licensed and local?
Yes on both. Shark Homes is a licensed general contractor in North Carolina, based right here in Wake Forest — not a national brand routing your job to a stranger. Owner Jeff Schointuch founded the company in 2013 and runs the jobs himself.
We've never done a project this big before — is that a problem?
Not at all. Because Jeff runs every job personally, you get honest guidance up front about what's realistic — the scope, the sequence and a sensible timeline — before anything starts. A big part of what we do is helping first-time remodelers understand the plan so there are no surprises.

Getting an estimate
Do you charge for a visit or an estimate?
No. Jeff will come out, look at the space properly and talk it through, and there's no charge for that walk-through or for the written estimate that follows.
What if the scope grows once you've started?
On older homes it often does — walls come open and the real state of things appears. When something changes, we talk through what it means for the work, the timeline and the cost before we act on it, so a bigger job doesn't become a runaway one.

During the build
Who's actually on my job?
Shark Homes is owner-run, so Jeff is on your job — the same person who quoted it — coordinating the crew and the trades. You're not handed off to a project manager who's never seen your home.
How much mess and disruption should we expect?
A remodel is never invisible, but it needn't take over the house. We protect the space while we work and clean up as we go, so you can keep living in your home while the project runs.

Areas & availability
Which areas do you cover?
We work across Wake Forest and the greater Triangle — Rolesville, Youngsville, Wakefield and Heritage close to home, out into North Raleigh and Raleigh, and north toward Louisburg and Franklinton. If you're in that stretch and not sure, just ask.
Can we book you for more than one project?
Absolutely — plenty of homeowners remodel a kitchen, then come back for a basement or a bathroom. If you've got a phased plan in mind, it's usually worth talking it through up front so the sequence makes sense.
Still have a question?
Ask Jeff directly — there's no charge for a chat or an estimate.
